Very nice area to fish, bike or walk with the pup. Several trails to explore.
We LOVED this nature preserve! We walked it first and then the next day rode our bikes through. So pretty and all the little lakes throughout are nice to take a break at. Google maps takes you several minutes past the main entrance so don't follow it all the way. Once you see the main sign and parking go there!
Very nice
Still natural keep it that away do not allow a park to be placed there that's what they're trying to do to charge you a fee it's free now do not be charged as a taxpayer for everything twiced that's wrong if you you still enjoy doing things for free that our tax dollars have already paid for why allow them to destroy something natural with the animals Running Free and turn it into a park for a fee we have enough golf courses and parks in Florida that charge money keep this natural
We live on the Weeki Wachee river- beautiful. I'm finding I love the preserve just as much. There is incredible light there. The water is deep and very blue. There is a hill that I run up multiple times because you're always rewarded with a view of seven of the lakes.
The area is not groomed at all - it's very rugged and sadly there's some trash. It's a magnificent place to explore on foot, and on a bike.
