Unique and lovely museum that's well worth a visit. You can choose to fly through in 45 minutes or so or drink in the exhibits for 3 or more hours. An excellent mix of reading, seeing, and video watching with kind curators willing to answer your questions.
Such a great collection into the history of the Carnival. Staff was super friendly. A very cool and unique place to check out.
Amazing! The history they have all wrapped into this building and exhibit is just amazing! It was so cool to see the different carnivals over the years and how everything has progressed
A great way to spend an afternoon! The museum is full of fascinating and fun artifacts and displays about independent circuses, fairs, and shows. The museum even addresses some of the shady parts of carnival history (like minstrel shows and human exhibits) with thoughtfulness and sensitivity.
The Showmen’s Museum is awesome. If you are into the circus, carnival or sideshow you will love this exhibit. They have original rides, signs and props. The signs that explain the exhibits are very well pit together and interesting. There is a lot to look at here and it’s all very high quality. Highly recommend.
