(September 24, 2021, 5:04 pm)Super hospitable staff, cute design with kitschy nautical touches, and a great location by the water and Jack London Square. Restaurant was closed for renovations (?) during our visit - but no matter because there are lots of great options in the area!
They stored our luggage after check out so we could sight see before our flight which was so nice!
(September 14, 2021, 3:54 pm)The hotel is like an oasis in the middle of the desert. Oakland itself is not a desirable area to be in. We were warned by security guards in the area that we should stay safe and avoid going far from the hotel.
But this hotel and Jack London Square itself is just amazing. The waterfront view of the marina and the view of the restaurants gives you a feeling of being in a high-end area, instead of Oakland. The room was excellent, housekeeping staff was wonderful. The restaurants around the hotel were superb, and the food was excellent. In the evening and especially on the weekends, this area is packed with people who come for the ambience of the area. We always took a stroll after dinner to see the area all lit-up.
Definitely a place to go back too. But everyone should be extremely careful of wandering far from the hotel & Jack London Square.
