“Good way to spend a day on the river. You can see monkeys, turtles, alligators, manatees, and many different birds. We brought our own kayaks, but friends rented kayaks. The rented kayaks are very basic and fill up with water. Weat a bathing suit and bring and extra set of clothes.”

“Before I visited, I hadn't been to this place for nearly 20 years. Back when I was a kid, this was such a magical experience, and I can say now that it's still just as amazing as it was 20 years ago. There are so many cool things to see under the water. There are a lot of fish and a lot of historic things down there, from statues to sunken boats. The area itself is also quite beautiful. There are pathways to walk, and if you really want to make a trip out of it, you can go kayaking on some nearby waters. There are some macaques that live in the area, so you can see them as you are moving through the waters. There is also a nice venue here that's great for weddings! My buddy got married here, and he said it was great. I definitely recommend a visit here. The price is very fair (~$15 if I remember correctly), and it's quite a unique experience.”

“My husband and I really enjoyed this park. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. The park rangers were very nice and helpful. The Azaleas were in full bloom and it was so pretty to see. The glass bottom tour was a lot of fun, and they showed us a lot of neat and historical spots that we wouldn't have known existed if we didn't. We were told the best spot to sit on the boat was next to the wheel by the captain, as you can see everything they do as they steer. We walked a few of the trails and enjoyed a nice lunch at the cafe. Definitely worth the trip for a fun day at the park.”

“A nice quiet campground at the end of Hopkins Prarie run by the National Forest. The Florida Trail runs by the edge of the campground, there is a bat house there also with an interpretive sign which is interesting also. There is also free parking for the Florida Trail at the trailhead just outside of the entrance to the campground.”

“There's a great set of trails to walk with a few picnic tables along the way. My only complaint is that there is not 1 map to be found of this area, even on the trailhead board. Our first walk took over 2 hours because we had no ide idea which way to turn to stay on a short trail. It was still an enjoyable experience even having to carry a 5 year old for half of it. We will go back again to see more of the trails, but we will go better prepared next time.”
