“This is a beautiful place to go for a walk, get out of your head and enjoy nature. It’s a great place to get down to the river and walk along the shore. I love the sound of the water and there are many types of birds and other wildlife. The main dirt trail is well marked and you can also walk on the paved AMERICAN RIVER TRAIL as well. I felt safe walking here alone. You’ll see a few people here and there fishing, riding bikes, hiking or just enjoying the beautiful surroundings. A great place to go in the spring time in Sacramento!”

“Great park to exercise and breath fresh air. It's secluded with a huge lake that glows with the sunset. It has a workout station (machines that use your body weight) but it has no playground. It's great for walking, running, skating and generally exercising. There are also benches where you can rest throughout the path. Highly recommend going for a fresh breath of air during stressful times.”

“Beautiful garden center. Great variety of plants and beautiful pots! The space has a few food trucks with good options and some fresh green juices. Love coming here to browse around, look at all the plants and have a coffee. There is also a small shop selling beautiful fresh flowers and you can make your own bouquet. We got a variety of succulents and they arranged them for us in a beautiful planter.”

“We had such an amazing time at the Monkey Jungle. We did a guided tour with Carlos which was a blast. They are fun and inviting the staff is awesome answer every question. We got to do the amazing jungle tour and have the monkey walk all over us. 100% recommend. Just call ahead and make reservations.”
