“Phenomenal donuts with just as good service. We came kind of late and the owner told us she had 11 donuts left, but she would happily make a fresh batch so we could order a dozen. Not only did she do that, but when I saw a flavor on the specials sign, which I had missed when I was ordering, and asked about it, she threw one in at no cost. These donuts were so good, I couldn't stop thinking about them (especially the raspberry mojito one). We came back again and the donuts and service were exceptional once more. I would 10/10 HIGHLY recommend a stop (or 2) here!”

“Stopped by on a Sunday for lunch. There was no wait and our server was very attentive. I love the authenticity of the restaurant inside from the food to the decor. It really reminds you of the keys. We tried the lobster bisque which was incredible and we got 2 grouper sandwiches, one fried and one Jamaican jerk style. Both were consistent and so delicious. The coleslaw and fries were also good! Overall, great experience and will definitely be back. Oh and we didn’t get any dessert but my mom swears by the key lime pie here. One of the best in the keys.”

“We just got back yesterday from a week at The Nest. We truly enjoyed this wonderfully decorated, well equipped villa. We made some good friends in one of the bottom units. The sun deck was wonderful and the squirrels will eat out of your hand. The bathrooms were roomy and there were soaps, shampoos and lotions for us. The kitchen had everything that we might need, although we chose to eat most meals out. The owners have a really nice notebook of how to work everything and suggestions on locally restaurants and happy hours. There are so many great restaurants within 1 mile. I can't recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back.”

“Started off a little rainy but then the sky cleared up. Sailor Ripley, Miami local band we're playing their hits. Key Largo fisheries were having their lobster fest. We decided on lobster corquettas and fried calamari. We drank mango smoothie and margarita. I love this venue. Super friendly staff even a fish market if you want to take fresh fish home. Even their super clean bathrooms have nautical decor.”

“Casa Rio is the perfect place to getaway and enjoy yourself in Islamorada. The cottage sits on a beautiful property on the water and has a protected dock for a boat. You'll love it! If you get a chance, try to get Sam to take you on a tour of the island on her boat. She is very knowledgeable about the area and it's wildlife, and Just a pleasurable person to spend some time on the water with.”

“When I reached out to J Kindred about doing wedding hair and makeup for my mother, my bridesmaids, and myself (7 total), I immediately knew they were the right fit. They offered to close down the entire salon for us for the day of our wedding, coordinated THE BEST hair and makeup artists (we love you, Erin and Christina!), and let us know we were welcome to bring mimosas, snacks, and whatever else we might need as we take over the salon for the day. The day of, Erin and Christina worked their magic bringing each lady’s unique vision to life. They were an absolute blast to hang out with, and they paid such attention to detail not only to our hair and makeup, but also to ensuring we made ourselves at home. Erin even picked out special pearl bobby pins for my hair that got compliments all night, and Christina made sure my mimosa was never empty as she gave me the ultimate glow up makeup! It was such a weight off of my shoulders to know that I could dance my heart out all night and not have to worry about my hair falling out or my makeup running. In fact, my hair made it through a full day of photos, hours on the dance floor, a rainstorm dance party, and a swim in the ocean without coming undone. Kudos to you, ladies! “I really like this spot! Just a few miles in when taking the road to the keys. The private beach is great for the kids. As long as you are consuming in the restaurant you can be there. They close at 4 the service on weekdays and 6.30 on weekends. But you can stay at the beach. Prices are affordable and the food is very tasty. Also very good service!”

The fries are definitely the high point, being extremely good for a side. Light and crispy and very worth it. We also had the calamari as an appetizer and I genuinely enjoyed the breading as it was a nice touch of flavour. We left a little as we got our entrees very quickly and I noticed that you shouldn’t let them get cold as to preserve the good flavour. Overall nice, not extraordinary, but a great option for a very casual meal.”

“Great little find! At first, we were not sure what to make of this small, roadside Brazilian restaurant. They don’t serve alcohol, but it looks like they are working on it. We ordered the mixed grill. The steak was medium rare just like we ordered it and very tender, the chicken with bacon was so tasty and the sausage juicy and delicious. We had the fried yuca and the kale Caesar, both were very good. Great service! Definitely recommend!!”

“We had an ocean view room, clean, quiet, and walking distance to a restaurant and jet ski rentals. Having a vehicle is a must, whether it's your own, rental, or Uber. Staff was polite and pool, hot tub, was well cared for. There is a private "beach", kayaks, fishing rods that you can use free of charge. Over all it was a great stay”
