“This is a wonderful place to see wildlife, and very convenient from town or the beach. I understand a few people have become successful commercial photographers using pictures from this place! I agree with another reviewer that the signs could be improved a little, but the brochure published by the city is very useful. I was in too much of a hurry to get out there when I had my wife drop me off at the park on Atlantic Avenue. The true trail was only a short walk down the street. If I lived here, I would probably lug my camera from end to end every week!”

“Jamie and Todd are so friendly and welcoming! The house is beautifully furnished, our room was extremely comfortable and it is perfectly situated near the downtown areal. My boyfriend and I just had our first stay there this weekend and we were so happy with our stay. We enjoyed the social hour from 4-5 and relaxing on the porch in the evening. Jamie and Todd also gave great recommendations for dinner and sightseeing. We were talking about coming back and staying longer before we even left!”

“We love this campground! The hosts do an amazing job and the bathrooms are sparkling clean. I think most sites are level (22 and 53 are ones we had and they are). We enjoy walking along the river to the jetty and the ocean. Also, it's fun to watch the boats and larger ships. A few notes: this campground is not within quick walking distance of a swimming beach, there are bugs including tiny "no-see-ems" so bring your spray, the sites are basically dirt so make sure to have a doormat. Despite these few items, this is still 5-stars for us and we've been to about 30 campgrounds over the last year. We'll definitely be back!”

“I’ve stayed here a couple times. The first time there were some little issues but I just overlooked it. I was on the Oceanside of hotel on third floor and through the big picture window was able to really enjoy seeing the ocean from my room. Amazing view. I didn’t eat there but they offer breakfast. It’s about 5 or less minute walk to the beach. The beach is really nice at that area. There is a park and mini golf, a wooden walkway runs along the beach, there are a few restaurants and a surf shop within walking distance. There is also a small skate park and a rink where a group was doing skate hockey.”

“Very nice boutique hotel in the heart of Fernandina Beach, within easy walk of downtown shops, restaurants and the docks. We stayed for two nights in April 2022. Our room had a king-sized bed that was very comfortable and not too firm like most hotel beds. Everything looked new and clean and we loved the shower head. A/C and ceiling fan worked great. The room had a view of the pool and was pretty quiet. The hotel also has its own bar. Front desk folks and the bartender were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again next time we are in Fernandina.”

“Ft. Clinch is a great place to relax. I've camped here before and that sites and facilities were great. It's just really hard to book. Exploring the fort is always kind of cool and we've found many shark's teeth on the beach. They have a great shaded playground near the fort entrance. They have some nice biking and hiking trails. The biking trails have hills (which is a super rare find in North East Florida). The beach isn't great for swimming but Fernandina main beach is just outside the park and offers some great options for restaurants, putt putt, and skate park. Such a beautiful park.”

“Oxley-Heard is a special place and Amy Lee is a special person and funeral director. Unfortunately our daughter passed away a couple of weeks ago and we needed the perfect place to celebrate her life. Oxley-Heard is that place! From the first time we entered the funeral home to discuss the details our family was treated with great dignity and respect. Amy and her team were tremendous professionals in handling all the details for our daughter, our family and our friends. Our daughter was a gift from God and thanks to Oxley-Heard her final days on earth were a glorious remembrance. Thank you Amy and Oxley-Heard.”

“The hotel was absolutely beautiful. The staff was incredible. The front staff were very professional. Dennis was helpful and attentive to our needs. Kay was very helpful as well. Although the hotel is not beach front, the beach is an easy walk . The ocean view from our balcony was nice. I would have preferred the free breakfast or a change to add this breakfast to my room. I enjoyed the restaurant by the pool. The staff was super friendly.”
