We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend here. The food and amenities at Hoyt House were awesome. The house itself is beautiful and the location is perfect for walking downtown and exploring the historic areas of Fernandina Beach. The farmers’ market across the street was a treat. One of the best parts of staying here was chatting with Lena. She was so hospitable and warm to all the guests and I really enjoyed talking with her.
We’ll definitely be back!
We had a great experience at Hoyt. Its location is very convenient, walkable to the historical district. The house is well decorated at every corner, with warm cozy atmosphere; the room is clean and comfortable.
We enjoyed the evening with puzzles with the best freshly baked cookies! The inviting smell of breakfast (also delicious) let us start the day with happiness. Todd provided many helpful advice for us to enjoy our trip. We recommend this place to everyone who looks for a quiet, relaxing , and warm house to stay.
Jamie and Todd are so friendly and welcoming! The house is beautifully furnished, our room was extremely comfortable and it is perfectly situated near the downtown areal.
My boyfriend and I just had our first stay there this weekend and we were so happy with our stay. We enjoyed the social hour from 4-5 and relaxing on the porch in the evening. Jamie and Todd also gave great recommendations for dinner and sightseeing. We were talking about coming back and staying longer before we even left!
We loved staying here. What a charming place! Beautiful everything--wonderful accommodation, great location, peaceful yet in the midst of everything--the Hoyt House was perfection!
We truly enjoyed the bicycles, which we took out multiple times. Fernandina is very bike friendly. There were bike racks everywhere, including our restaurant The Salty Pelican.
And after all that bike riding, it was great to cool down in the pool. Fabulous gardens!
Thanks again for the lovely getaway!
Jamie and Todd were fantastic. They gave us a small tour when we arrived at the house. We enjoyed their 4-5 happy hour with complementary wine. It was a cool way to meet other guests. We left for Cumberland Island before we could stay for breakfast one of the days so they left us little goodies for breakfast instead. The only downside of their location is that it’s on route to the paper mill so there’s semi trucks that pass late at night. All in all, super accommodating B&B, nice breakfast, and open pool area. They provided great hospitality and we would love to visit again!
