Nice paved trail for walks and bikes. My pup likes it.
We started at Key Vista and rode to the end of Anclote River Park to have a beer at Miss Vicky's. A little over an hour ofc riding time. Very scenic with live oaks, long needle pines, marshy areas, sandy areas, along the road, through the trees, all on a beautiful 73 degree day. Highly recommended.
Beautiful addition to the great parks in Southwest Pasco County.
Great trail! Great for walking, biking, and skating! It has turns and twists and a few small 'hills' that make for great fun on a skateboard or skates.
The trail itself is a smooth asphalt and it appears to be cleared off regularly. We've even noticed that it dries quickly after a light rain - enough so that we were able to skate on it a few hours later.
The trail itself is often shaded and they have plenty of benches along the way for breaks. There is a round-a-bout that branches off into three directions - one towards Anclote River Park, one towards Anclote Gulf Park, and another towards Key Vista Nature Park. It's a nice trail that allows you to visit multiple parks quickly, safely, and surrounded by nature.
Things to consider:
I don't recall seeing any water stations - be sure to bring water.
Parking is very accessible from the parks; we suggest the Anclote Gulf Park (fishing pier).
