“I went into this new store located across from John’s Pass. There were many unique and very well priced pieces. I was looking for earrings. I had two larger loose diamonds with me that I wanted to have set into studs. The owner had several settings to choose from. She took the time to explain which settings would best enhance my diamonds and showed me just how they would look. I was impressed by her knowledge and noticed that she was a certified gemologist and appraiser. The price was great and my earrings were ready 3 days later. I noticed that custom work is also done and I will return to see what can be remade with some of my older less worn pieces. The owner was very helpful and friendly and the store is a “real gem”.”

“In a basic little strip near the Mad Beach Triangle on Gulf Blvd, this little gem is an oasis from the brutal Florida sun. Stop into this hippie cow themed ice cream shop for homemade flavors including an interesting Brown Sugar Sour Cream that pairs awesomely with a shot of espresso poured over called affogato. You can get it in multiple sizes and cone options. They also have a handful of dairy free options, and some 21+ flavors that have alcohol like Kahlua. For those with gluten issues, the labels clearly indicate if it contains it. There is indoor seating available. Small amount of parking out front.”

“If you like candy, ice cream & nostalgia… you will love Candy Kitchen. First of all the ice cream is so good and so many flavors to choose from. There are milkshakes too. Then the candy selection is through the roof. There is candy from days gone by … things that will take you back to your childhood. They also have balsa wood gliders, pez dispensers and so many other cool things . It’s like taking a time machine back 50 years ago. Oh, and you have to at least look at the restroom… it’s pretty dang cool.”

“Sandy Shores 401 My Fiancé and I stayed here for a short while as we were making a small vacation out of a wedding visit. We were a bit disappointed by how late the check-in time is, but I guess through the years they have gotten later at most places. We were able to get in an hour early, and when we needed a few extra minutes at checkout the office allowed us the time we needed which was very kind! The shower was bit slow to drain, but the condo appeared to be very clean and kept upon our arrival. There is no dish rack for handwashing dishes, so plan for time to empty the dishwasher before leaving. Most places I've stayed at ask that you run the dishwasher before leaving and they will empty it. Not this one, so just plan for this. The location is incredible, as it is directly across the street from John's Pass, full of restaurants, bars, shops, etc. It is a bit far from a Liquor Store or a Grocery if you are not renting a car, however the local trolley system is very nice! We utilized it to ride up to Clearwater and back a couple of times to shop and eat. It's much cheaper than a rideshare, and they run every 30 minutes from Clearwater to St. Pete Beach. Based on our experience, we would happily return!”

“This place is pretty cool. My girl friend wanted to go here to get some hair barrettes that changed colors in the sun. I really wasn't expecting to see anything of interest. However, they have way more than barrettes! I really liked the T-shirts! They had one that was a Latino "Day of the Dead" design. While indoors, it was just a black print on white T-shirt, but expose it to UV light (the sun) and it comes to life with multiple colors! Tons of toys, mugs, putty, etc that are photosensitive.”
