My experience at Post Acute Medical formerly Complex Care has been superb despite the critical situation for my father Andres Canque. Beginning with the call from admissions nurse Vicki throughout the one-month stay. Vicki was patient, thorough, & easy to collaborate with.As healthcare surrogate, I interacted with those who were involved in dad’s medical plan. During my visits, I met with his daily care team and satisfied with care by his nurses, physical therapists, and nurse assistants.
Special kudos and gratitude to Case Manager Director Jennifer who went above & beyond to help ease my family & I upon hearing the grim news of my father. She went out of her way to comfort my mother emotionally.
Kudos to Case Manager Kristine who was my main contact and helped communicate with me dad’s doctors and help arrange for family meeting with dad’s neurologist Dr. Madden.
Kudos to Dr. Madden for explaining to myself dad’s prognosis and taking the time to make sure my mom’s feelings were considered.
All the staff ,including at the cafeteria, volunteers, & medical records were very nice, warm, & friendly.
My husband was in an auto accident diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury. We had little hope when we arrived at complex care. But in a very short amount of time he was weaned off a vent, eating regular food and taking his first steps. Carly and Jessica are amazing case managers that went above and beyond in helping me and my son. Gary has my husband walking with assistance in a few weeks. Respiratory had his breathing on his own. Jim the speech therapist had him talking in a week. And let me tell you that Sunny has the best bed side manor. Even the ceo took time to talk to my son and help him get breakfast. We have a long way to go but they have given us hope. They really went above and beyond. I highly recommend them.
I just came back from visiting my mom at Complex Care Hospital at Ridgelake, I live in Ohio and she had been transferred there from a hospital in Tampa. I was most impressed with the kindness and friendliness of the staff and care takers. The entrance is bright and welcoming and her room was clean and comfortable. The case worker knew I was only there for a few days and was willing to meet with me and my family to help us make the right choices for my mom. She was empathetic to our needs and very reassuring to my Dad that the right plans would be put into action. I felt she really listened to what was most important to us as we look down the road. During a very difficult time like this, it is nice to know that my mom is being given the support and care she needs.
