“This is a beautiful park! Lots of parking at the different beach stops. There's kayak and canoe rentals as well as places to put your boat in the water. There's a visitor's center with information on the historic sites. We found a dock for fishing and crabbing. Plenty to keep you busy. We've spent multiple days here. Beautiful beaches as well!”

“Very nice little oceanfront park, originally built by African Americans during the segregation era as a vacation spot for African Americans. A plaque commemorates the founders and tells a little about the history and historical significance. The park is owned by state/local government which keeps it modernized and well-maintained. An interesting feature of the beaches in this area is that you can drive your car up and down the beach (slowly, and for a fee - $20, I think)”

“Great little out-of-the-way spot that might be overlooked by anyone but locals. It is small but it has a nice wooden walkway on the lagoon where you can fish or watch for manatees and dolphins. We saw several manatees and one very aggressive dolphin that rammed a kayak causing concern with the lady occupants. I tried to get pics of the dolphin but there is a delay on my camera phone and when I would snap a pic when it came up for air it would not be visible when the shutter opened. It also has a very nice piece of playground equipment for the kiddies. This is truly a little hidden gem.”

“Florida coasts are always memorable. This beach has a beautiful clear water, lighthouse behind you will always look after you while you enjoy the beach. This beach is recommended for children and families that love to park their cars right in from of the ocean over the sand. Be careful with the tide, it may change immediately!. Lifeguards at this beach are not polite at all get ready.”

“We love coming here! Always so clean and never a ton of people. Very family friendly atmosphere and the water is always beautiful. We come at least once a year while on vacation. My first time here I was amazed at the water. It was crystal clear and could see schools of fish between the waves. Beautiful!”

“We had a great time. Public restroom. Shower outside to rinse off. Picnic area in several spots. Soda machine in the Pavilion area. Paid $20.00 yearly membership (not bad) and that includes the other dog beach; Smyrna Dunes Park. We will be back ????”

“I actually was at Blue Springs State Park. We had a great 4th of July week there camping. I took my dogs and they were not freaked out due to fireworks. There were lots of places close by that had a firework show we could go see. It was very hot so the cool float down the springs was terrific. Recommend this campground.”

“Clean park. Newer playground equipment. Lots of climbing activities and faster slides. So maybe not for the really small kids unless it is empty, like it was for us today. Maintained very well. Bathrooms were closed during our visit. A few nice picnic tables under a pavilion. Overall very nice”

“Wonderful park with plenty of space. There is plenty to do including tennis, pickleball, basketball, playground, and plenty of open grassy fields. The only negative is that there is very little seating in the shade. Unless you're sitting by the bathroom you're baking in the Sun”

“Great park in the Fly-in fenced in so little ones can't go too far. A bathroom would make it 5 stars but it's still pretty awesome. Has a shade over much of the equipment to keep it from getting too hot... helpful in Florida.”

“Amazing experience! We went out for a night paddle to check on the intensity of the bio luminescence. Nice boat ramp and fishing dock. The wild life in the water was spectacular, dolphins, mullet, needle fish and manatees. And they're open 24/7.”

“What a fabulous place to take your dog to play. Pack a lunch, put up a tent, play some music, and enjoy. Scenery is fantastic. Fishing, surfing, dogs playing and shells... everywhere... a must even if you don't bring your pooch. The boardwalks so much fun over the marsh... You will enjoy the pure beauty. I bike down every morning. Perfect ride on the beach. So by bike, foot or car if ya gotta a pooch, check it out. You'll love this hidden gem. And don't forget a bag to put the shells in. You'll need one.”
