I don't know why the bun is orange, it don't really taste like a certain flavor. I would order it again but I would add tomatoes and lettuce and maybe onion too. “Excellent experience. Our server, Jodi represented the company better than most managers could. She described the menu in detail so we knew what we would get with our order. With that, we ordered the Scholarship Burger with a side of Gumbo and a Shrimp Po’ Boy. Jodi updated us while waiting for our lunch and refreshed our drinks. As the photos show, the food looked amazing when it arrived and everything tasted good except we felt that everything had a bit too much salt. The burger looked much larger that the 1/3 lb. that the menu said. The meat was seasoned and had a brioche bun. The Gumbo had great flavor. There were plenty of shrimp on the Po’ Boy and we took Jodi’s advice in buying the ‘whole’ sub because it was only $1 than a ‘half’ sub. We took the rest home. Then we got the Doughnut Bread Pudding. WOW! It must have been 4000 calories. But who cares; it was amazing! Good thing they put that whipped cream on top. This is a great restaurant and without knowing the possible issues during a sporting event, I highly recommend it. We will be back.”

She understood our budget and alerted us promptly if we wanted to up the bar tab for our guests when we hit our “limit”. I was too busy mingling that I didn’t get a chance to have any food but my guests couldn’t stop raving about the bacon wrapped scallops we had passed. It was alittle warm but it was on the second floor in August in Florida so not their fault lol. It was also VERY spacious, I never felt crowded with 125 people plus the patio was a huge bonus. Would highly recommend anyone use Kingfish grill for their event/dinner!! Thank you!”

“Wow! We have always stayed in chain hotels and decided to try this place for a change. And we will be staying here every time we visit NPR! Not only has the building been beautifully renovated in a way that honors the historic value, the staff is top notch and the room was amazing. We were warmly welcomed upon checkin. As we entered our room the first thing I noticed was how good it smelled. The room and bathroom were immaculately clean - seriously, housekeeping is top notch!! While the room is a bit small - there’s not much you can do to change 1927 architecture. The hacienda makes up for it with the character of the hotel and friendliness of the staff. Thank you!!”

The menu was hand written and without my glasses hard to read so he went through the menu until I stopped him at burritos. Make this short, I think his mother was cooking and she made me a wonderful beef, bean, rice burrito that you only get from a traditional Mexican mother that's doing the cooking.”

“It was a beautiful, sunny day in Florida when I suddenly lost control. I was on my way to the Venice Golf store when the aroma of freshly roasted coffee filled the air, captivating my senses. I couldn't resist the temptation and was compelled to turn around and follow the scent to Black Gold Roasters. As I approached, I saw people sitting at sidewalk tables, smiling, chatting, and savoring their coffee. They seemed to understand what I was feeling, having gone through the same experience when they first discovered the coffee shop. When I stepped into the store, I couldn't help but notice the massive burlap bags filled with coffee beans and the enormous coffee roaster where they roast their coffee beans in-house. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable. I decided to order a double espresso and some chocolate-covered coffee beans, which would make a great gift. The coffee tasted absolutely delicious, and it brought back fond memories of my trip to Italy. Since then, I've visited Gold Coffee Roasters multiple times and no longer buy stale coffee from grocery stores. Give them a try!”
