It's out of the way from my house so my bank wouldn't approve transaction so I had to walk to the associate, he was very polite, soft spoken. “Ok, I had my doubts when we drove by this place earlier but my husband wanted to go. We were in town for the weekend and it was within walking distance. When we arrived, we were glad to see there were a few tables because we hadn't planned on getting it to go. Very cute restaurant, mainly geared toward takeout and delivery. The mariachi chicken pizza is delicious as were the wings. I like cauliflower but I was not expecting to be wowed by the spicy cauliflower bites. Amazingly delicious! “We love Baker’s Cay … and one reason is the yummy food and excellent service! For lunch, our favorites are the craft bowls - Mahi and cilantro lime shrimp! They easily handled my wife’s gluten allergy. And at night, the Churrasco entree is wonderful - tender and delicious (and gluten free)! We ordered it medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. It is large enough to share. The cocktails are also well done. At sunset, they offer champagne to the guests for a sunset toast - a nice touch!”

“This small family-owned restaurant in Fruitland Park (Florida) is the perfect lunch date location. There are maybe 12 tables at the Jamaican Jerk Hut & Island Scoops. My wife and I have been several times. This visit included ordering a small beef soup for my wife and I got a Jamaican beef patty to start. The main course was curry chicken with cabbage and rice for the wife. I selected the jerk pork with mac-and-cheese and collard greens. My wife had water and I wanted a Sprite. The chef’s touch is a hit. Every bite is filled with flavor – the greens alone are off the charts. We saved portions of each meal on purpose, so that we could have dessert. My wife had the lemon bar, and she could not stop raving about it. I had a scoop of ice cream on sugar cone. It was $55 before tip. We will most likely drive the 45 minutes again, this weekend.”

“Wings are a bit pricey…almost $2 a wing and very small, we order the Rick a feller oyster and they were good. We ordered the coconut shrimp and it was good. They had live music and the service was good, even though it was pretty busy. When I first come in, I was a little bit lost…there’s no hostess so you have to seat yourself, the table has 2 signs. A blue sign that says: no service needed and a red sign, that says: service needed. You will need to turn it to request a server and you need to get your own menu (this is if you seat outside) menu it’s in the middle. Food was good”
