Progressive Pelvis Physical Therapy

I have been going to progressive pelvis for a little over 2 months. Ever since doctor Proctor, my urologist, recommended that I begin taking a medication, elmiron, and seek pelvic floor physical therapy for my newly diagnosed bladder disorder, interstitial cystitis. I was scared to begin a medicine with side effects and felt, like most patients, that I would prefer a more natural approach if at all possible. My urologist also recommended a very strict diet to begin to heal my bladder. I shared with Jackie all my fears, mainly the idea of having to be on a medication and a strict diet the rest of my life. She assured me she would do everything in her power to try to help me achieve my goals of being able to eat a regular diet and stay off the medication if at all possible. During her initial interview with me (the most thorough medical interview I've ever had) she uncovered some possible triggers of my painful bladder symptoms, a fall a year ago that injured my tailbone and chronic painful periods. I had not thought to disclose this injury to my urologist, however during her thorough interview she not only pulled helpful information from me but also explained so many details about my newly diagnosed disorder. Pelvic floor therapy has allowed me to realize how much I can control my symptoms by attending sessions and following specific stretching regimens reviewed in therapy sessions. It has also helped me with my chronic lower back pain that did I struggled with for most of my life. As a medical professional myself, I highly recommend Dr. Jackie not only for her empathy as a practitioner, but for her incredible knowledge surrounding root causes of pelvic floor disfunction, and her ability to form and adapt customized plans for patients who are looking for help, answers and therapy for chronic disorders.

Dr. Jackie is a miracle worker. I didn't even know I needed her in my life but am thankful she was recommended by a friend. I had a painful almost paralyzing back issue that was destroying my quality of life and in 6 visits, Dr. Jackie has brought relief and healing to my situation. When my doctor got to the point where it was clear that I needed pelvic floor physical therapy to address my chronic pain, I was completely weirded out. What a mess! Pelvic floor?! Physical therapy?! Dr. Jackie is amazing! I cannot say enough good things about her work. I was referred to her by my urologist, and I came in with a myriad of issues that desperately needed attention. (Not mentioning the specifics of the issues here for privacy reasons.) Dr. Jackie has worked closely with me and tailored the therapy for my needs specifically. She is always very attentive, helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and I can tell she takes great pride in her work. She is also very patient and listens closely to your needs as an individual. I have never felt uncomfortable with her at all, even at the beginning when I was nervous about the whole process. She always made me feel at ease. The healing process is not easy, but Dr. Jackie made it as smooth of a process as possible. Wish there were more doctors like her out there!
