“I walked into the shelter 3 days ago - not knowing that I would leave with my “furever friend”. I visited the cat room and saw a kitten looking directly at me from his cage. He literally stood right on up. I told the officer that we would like to adopt him. Yeah, I didn’t hesitate at all. Things work a bit differently at this shelter. You have to be on a waiting list to adopt and it’s in numerical order. See, it’s my second time visiting and I wanted to make sure I was first this time. I don’t know if people believe in higher powers but whatever it was …. it worked in my favor because I was able to take him home on the same day! I named him Neo and he’s such a sweet boy.
