After last week's heavy rain the natural dam was breached.
I don't know if the otters or humans did the work, but the dam is back (maybe not as high) and it is retaining water.
Many of the branches were washed through the culvert
Wildlife, wooded area. Deers and other animals in area. Marsh and lakes. Be aware of venomous snakes in the area. I didn't see any, but there is a sign displayed. There is many scenic areas and seating area.
Free parking, trails around the lake, dock, picnic tables, and lots of nature to enjoy.
There are two trails, one starts at the north side of the parking lot and travels the wetland the other starts on the south end. They are both very fun, the north route haas a bridge and boardwalk while the south route has a beaver dam and a couple look out points. Well groomed wide paths.
Nice and quiet place to walk. Trails are safe and clear of debris. Just watch out for snakes! I have seen deer sipping water at a stream here before. Also great place for watching birds or just enjoying the serenity.
