Alex has been absolutely excellent, lessons with him are a highlight of my week!

I came into lessons always aspiring to play the piano and Alex has been nothing but helpful in this regard. Lessons have been extremely tailored to the issues I've struggled with and even personalized to reflect musical interests, genre preferences and more. I've progressed way quicker than expected, and am looking forward to further lessons.

Alex is a great piano teacher. I have been taking lessons for several weeks now and every week he has something new to offer, most especially my songwriting process and helping find chords and melodies that are unique and just blend perfectly with my ideas. Very patient and calm and a definite recommendation!

Recently started zoom piano lessons with Alex. He is an excellent teacher and is extremely patient! He is also very flexible with scheduling! In between lessons when I have questions, Alex is accessible and very responsive. As a beginner, I was unsure about how effective zoom lessons would be, but so far everything is going well and I am enjoying learning how to play. I highly recommend Alex!

I found Alex on Thumbtack and hired him for virtual piano lessons for my 6 year old son. My son had never played any instruments or learned to read music. By the end of the first lesson, he was playing Mary Had a Little Lamb, and going into the 3rd lesson he is starting to read music. Alex’s teaching style is engaging for players of all ages and levels. He plays fun games with my son each lesson, and gives homework so that the student can grow their skills throughout the week.

After 5 years of classes my daughter was at the point of quitting piano. She needed someone that would make the class enjoyable and at the same time challenging enough online. She is now taking classes with Alex, and I can tell she is enjoying her practice every day and she always finishes the classes saying “That was good”. Alex knows the real level of the students and how they need to advance. He is interested in the likes and dislikes of the students. My daughter enjoys the listening activities and “games” especially. Alex’s approach has made a big difference in how my daughter sees piano classes.
