“I've always had a guitar around and always knew I wanted to learn how to play. A little over a year ago, I searched the internet for guitar lessons in my area and found Sound Space. Working with Nick, I started practicing a handful of songs that I had been wanting to learn -- nothing major, but it gave me a reason to start practicing. Then, we moved into music theory, which has given me the vocabulary to talk about musical concepts and patterns I've been noticing my whole life. Some weeks, it's hard to find enough time to practice. But lessons aren't linear: I never feel like I'm falling behind, and I'm always looking forward to my lesson time. We might take the opportunity to look at a new song I've just heard or revisit a concept from months ago. Sound Space has helped me connect with music on a new level.
