Threaded from Heaven

I've been thinking about dusting off my sewing machine and beginning to create again, but it's been over 30 years since I've threaded a bobbin. I visited the website and looked over the classes - the most convenient thing for me was to schedule a private lesson. I easily registered for the class online. The day before, I received a personal reminder call (a nice touch). The day of my appointment I was greeted warmly by the owner and we got right to work. I brought my manual, but she knew my machine like it was her own. She is a great teacher and very funny and helped boost my confidence. I will continue private lessons, but I also signed up for a crochet class in February. Great experience for private lessons, group classes, and for purchasing sewing supplies.

I really enjoyed my sewing class. Courtenay is an excellent teacher. She is patient with everyone. Knowledgeable about her craft and shares the information needed. This is not my first class at Threaded from Heaven and I will be back again. Thank you

I took Ms. Courtenay's beginners sewing class. And I learned so much! And I was able to complete some really neat projects! Ms. Courtenay was very patient and detailed as she was teaching. And she taught good technique and form. I would definitely recommend her class if you are interested in learning how to sew.

I’m a 51 year old man that works with leather. I had no real knowledge of sewing and sewing machines. I took the Adult Sewing class. It’s a 4 class series which covers basically every technique and bits of knowledge one would need to sew. Things like how to use the machine, basic sewing techniques, different stitches, darts & seams, and zippers & buttons.

Courtenay is extremely knowledgeable. I have yet to ask a question that she didn’t know the answer to. She is warm, friendly and extremely patient. She has a relax energy about her yet really gets you excited to learn. She is uplifting and gives you the confidence to succeed. I strongly recommend taking her class if you are wanting to learn how to sew. I’ve gone from having a complete lack of knowledge to knowing making sling bags and backpacks. This is only after taking the basic course. She even gave me some positive critiques of my work and gave me excellent pointers on how to improve.
I will be taking more classes with her and continue to grow and learn. Again, if you are looking for a wonderfully positive uplifting environment to have fun and learn to sew I can’t recommend Threaded from Heaven strongly enough. I'll post a picture of the first sling bag I attempted before I even finished the course and a leather bag liner I was able to sew with no difficulties. I'm sure after practicing a bit I'll improve even more. Sky's the limit at this point.
Trust me take these courses and you'll succeed.

Excellent place for any age to learn to sew...beginners to advance. Sewing camps, sip and sew (my favorite!!), Birthday parties, mommy and me, fundraisers, and private parties.
Courtney, the owner, was a delight! She was very patient with me as I relearned the sewing machine and reading patterns.
