Dr. Choi is highly professional and passionate in what she does and never holds anything back in each lesson session. As an adult student who has been dabbing at the piano from time to time without formal education, she suggested learning from the basics, to which I happily agreed. Dr. Choi is patient, kind, and, yes, strict when she seems necessary. It has been a little over four months since I started. My piano skills are visibly and audibly greatly improved, and my family has been impressed.
Dr. Choi encourages me greatly when I struggle and humbles me when I feel overconfident. Still, most importantly, she makes sure I enjoy what I learn. I never thought I would feel this much joy when I practiced, which used to be tedious and dull before I met Dr. Choi.
I highly recommend people with serious intent to improve their skillset and willing to put effort and time into their passion to contact Yurim Studio. She auditions every student who wants to learn from her and emphasizes the seriousness of their dream.
Dr. Choi also has a degree in vocal; I heard other students (very young), and her voice is beautiful. If I have more time, I would also love to take vocal lessons one day.

I first met Dr. Choi from an internet community. She was a great cook with caring hearts. She has never been reluctant to share her unique recipes. Her postings were well reflective of her kind personalities and enthusiasm.
From this experience, I observed her inspiring teaching characteristics.
The terms "great" and "fantastic" do not fully describe her piano and vocal lessons.

She has been so insightful, inspiring and sensitive. I am more than 1/2 century old and my trainings and skills (if any) over 40 years ago are outdated and rust. She cannot be more patient. I count myself very fortunate to have her as a teacher. She focuses on a solid foundation and her thorough, instructive and tremendous skills improved my breathing in voice and tones in piano.
I am very confident to say her instructions via zoom (or other on-line means) will not change quality or effectiveness of her teachings. One day, she caught my nails are too long and scratched the keyboard. It's been an absolute pleasure to have her and I cannot recommend highly enough.

Dr. Choi is one of the most phenomenal people to grace this planet and the most influential professor I’ve ever had. I owe the roots of my collegiate singing career to her. She genuinely cares about you. She is excellent at teaching all methods of Bel Canto singing technique in multiple different learning styles, and consistently instituted correct posture, pronunciation, and placement of the voice. She does not settle for lack of effort and brings passion out of you for the text and music in each and every phrase. She’s an artist, an excellent one, and anyone who has the pleasure of working with her is an extremely lucky individual.
