South Atlanta Helicopters

I have been flying fixed wing aircraft for 30 years. Helicopter lessons had been on the list for years, but i didn't really think I would ever have the opportunity to actually do it. When SAH started a satellite school at KAUO, i wanted to be their first customer. Getting started was easy. Instructor Mark Estrada has been extremely helpful and patient guiding my introduction to helo flight. I highly recommend at least a few hours to any other pilots out there who want to be seriously challenged! Trust me, you will get a new appreciation for flying when you learn to coordinate the anti-torque pedals, collective and cyclic hanging in the air at 3' AGL.

Great place for helicopter flight training. Easy online scheduling of aircraft and instructors, and good group of guys. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my experience so far obtaining my private and instrument add-on. Plan on finishing the rest of my ratings in the coming months. If you plan on helicopter training in the Atlanta area, this is the place to be!!

Very professional staff with a focus on SAFETY and many years of experience. With several helicopters to choose from you can use the one that fits your particular needs and there is less chance of interference from downtime. I would highly recommend for anyone whether you are just getting into it or are looking for advanced training.

South Atlanta Helicopters has been a great place to train. The instructors really care about their students and the training has been top notch. I am very happy with the prices, helicopters, and quality I get from this organization. I would highly recommend this organization if you are interested in learning to fly helicopters. The renovations they did to the office space are really nice too. There's not a ton of reviews for this place but don't let that deter you, it's relatively new and a great place to get any type of helicopter ratings.

After looking for a number of helicopter training programs this was the first to be consistent, responsive and professional. This program provides numerous opportunities already and is growing. If You are looking to learn to fly, the right way, this is the place.
