“As first time surfers, my partner and I were absolutely blown away by Sergio’s lesson! He had us up on the board and surfing on our first wave! Sergio is an absolutely incredible teacher - so patient and knowledgeable! On top of that we really enjoyed chatting with him and getting to know more about his life, surfing, Hawaii, etc. I would recommend Sergio and Island Style Surf School to anyone in a heartbeat. Save your time researching and just go here!”

“Kahea is such a great coach a great guy. I went on a trip with him to Mexico and my surfing improved a ton as well as my surfing fitness, and also had a great time! I’ve been training with him in Hawaii as well and he’s been super helpful in helping me replace bad habits with good ones, understand what I need to change in my surfing, and get in better shape. I’d really recommend working with Kahea! He is an expert, and a great guy!”

“On a gamble I stopped by during my first and only visit to Oahu, just to see if I could bag a sweet deal on a clearance wetsuit for the NZ waters. Turned out to be my lucky day, as I got an awesome suit for a killer price. I didn't have time to scan through the whole selection of suits on the regular price racks, so can't really comment on that. But based on the clearance section alone, the selection is immense and quite comprehensive. Womens' size 8 in abundance, mens' sizes are a bit more hit and miss, but I'd definitely check them out if you're ever in the area. They also have frequent sales on the regular merchandise (according to their facebook page), so if you're in the market, this is the place to start.”

“A taste from home and great find! I’m so glad we ran into this place. Didn’t know if we would find a Brazilian community in Hawaii. The pastel de queijo was delicious and the coxinha wasn’t dry. The guaraná was so refreshing and it’s the best refri in the world. Definitely recommend, especially if you’ve never Brazilian food or drinks. Muitoooo obrigada! 💙💛💚”

“Stopped at this unassuming shop for a drink and I'm so glad i did. Along with having freshly cut coconut they have some great spicy shrimp. Perhaps the best thing is the back of the shop is along a small river which has sea turtles along the banks. They offer kayaks and paddle boards for rent.. Great little stop to make when your going to the North shore.”

“We had a dinner that exceeded our expectations. I had incredible clam chowder. Probably the best clam chowder i have ever had. The cocktails were remarkably good. The view was incredible. The restaurant had an open air environment that greatly added to the experience. I also a ribeye perfectly marbled and cooked as a perfect medium temperature. Your experience here will exceed your expectations.”

“Was on the North Shore for a few days and had a bit of an accident. I gave Dr. Turnbull a call and he was able to fit me in right away. He was a great guy who did an amazing job sorting me right out quickly. What an awesome man with awesome stories!”

“Americano topped with salted carmel foam 😇 so good! The store is an island location, you get island amenities. No need for plug ins... I'm grateful for the beautiful views ✨️ Fate brought me here today. I didn't have the best previous experiences and I didn't think I'd be back at all. However, I was and even sat outside and enjoyed nature. 🧿🌺 I met a new friend too! 🌞🌺😇”

“Stopped by this place on the way to Sunset beach. We walked right up to the counter and in seconds the line grew quick. Best Portuguese sausage we’ve had on the island. Pies have local flavors only found in Hawaii. All yum! Outdoor seating plentiful. There’s additional shaded seating across the parking lot that is cooler and away from the main area. Staff was efficient.”

“Food, Art, and Beautiful scenery! A very worth while stop when the farmers market is open, when it’s not open there is also a trail leading to the waterfall off the mountain. Depending on weather conditions you’ll be allowed to swim in it. A very beautiful place to come and visit!”

“Absolutely breathtaking views of the valley and flora of the island. I must've stopped every few steps just to take a photo of all the flowers and plants and wildlife roaming the area. Without a doubt this my favorite stop during my vacation. Everything growing is labeled so you know exactly what you're looking at. And believe me there is so much to see. Also I loved the explanations from the guides at the Hawaiian village huts. I wanted to learn more about life for natives to the island and the guides were so friendly and knowledgeable. I must've had a million questions and they explained everything perfectly. Please do not pass this place up! You can choose to walk or pay for a ride (cash only) but I promise you it's well worth exploring by walking. They also have restrooms along the paths and heading towards the waterfall they offer changing rooms if you want to swim in the watering hole as well as a place to get water and food (accepts card and cash).”

“Friendly staff, easy to hire. Snorkel and shoes are $20 to hire but if you look inside the building at the end you can buy the snorkel forever for $29. Shoes can also be bought separately - not sure how much. If you arrive with only an hour left you still have to pay $20 to hire even though you only have an hour so the earlier you come the longer you get to hire it - the minimum seems to be for a day or there are options for longer.”

“Ernie and his team are always quick to respond and extremely attentive. When managing a multi million dollar home, you definitely need someone who is willing to go above and beyond to make sure our needs are met (and quickly!) and that owners are happy with their service. Ernie and his team not only have done that time, after time, after time, but recently surprised us all by finding an active leak we’ve had at this property that no one else could find and fix! Ernie is reliable, honest and very reasonable with his prices as well. Always fully discloses how long and how much the service will be, when he’ll get it done and how long it’ll take him. Look no further for an amazing plumber!”

“Very welcoming church. Love the fellowship. The church has fun events for families and fellow community. I really enjoy the once a month "Women's Hang-out" to share our experiences in walking with the Lord while doing fun things together.”

“I reserved two private lessons and had perhaps the best surf experience of my life on the North Shore. They were so prompt with responses and answers and any changes based on finding the best surf possible. The instruction exceeded my expectations and had me catching wave after wave by my second lesson! And they coach from novice (me) up to expert. Highly Highly recommend - it’s so worth it!”
