“Ernest Chang is a highly respected, Julliard-trained pianist who has trained award-winning young artists in the Honolulu area for over one-half century. Some of his students have gone on to very successful careers in music and related fields. One "grand-student" (student of a former student) won first place in the 2016 Aloha International Piano Festival and performed the 1st movement of the Prokofiev Second Piano Concerto (an extremely challenging piece) with the senior division of the Hawaii Youth Symphony. He is known as a strict, but kind teacher and under his tutelage, the performance level of students can be expected to accelerate in a positive direction. Highly recommended. Mahalo.”
