“One of my favorite hidden gems. The beach is seldom busy and beautiful. You can actually walk to the bird sanctuary island across the bay. Quite a lot of parking, bathrooms are nice and clean very comparable to others up and down the east side. Great spot for a family camp or day picnic. I’ve brought visiting friends here and they love the quiet and wonderful beach.”

“We chose St Mark for our oldest daughter when she was in kindergarten. We had heard good things about the school. I especially liked the small size (less intimidating for a 5 year old), it’s not too far from home and that they teach Christian values. We have been very happy with all of her teachers thus far (communication, fun and challenging curriculum). I appreciate being able to email or text teachers and get a timely response. I’ve seen teachers email at all hours which, I think, is above and beyond. They are thinking about my child at 10 at night or 5 in the morning! It’s important to me that my children enjoy school and they do. It makes learning more effective and eliminates most of the morning battles. We now have 3 of our children there.”

“A medium size care home with about 30 residents, 1 nurse, and 3 aides on duty. Great place to work and everyone from medical director Dr. Balasz on down is helpful and cheerful. Nice gardens and lawn around the property. No outside visitors at this time due to coronavirus restrictions; agency staff such as PT and nurses allowed. I look forward to returning at a future date. Cons: during heavy storms on New Years' Eve there were several leaks in the lanai ceiling and roof.”

“My recent experience with North Shore Sports Therapy started with a salt bath of rushing water from the ocean. It felt amazing and very relaxing, I tried getting a video but my phone storage was full and didn’t capture the view😌. Next, I went inside with Zahava, who is such a dear sweet person🥰. I received the cupping therapy, which is the best method for my lower back pain, shoulders and mid back relief. I felt amazing afterwards, a little soreness the next day, but that’s to be expected. Zahava is an experienced professional and recommended further treatment in combination with massage. This is a well respected business and I will be returning. Thank You”

“I own a 1992 JDM diesel land cruiser. Shortly after picking it up from the port, the diesel injection pump sprung a serious leak. After being turned away by 2 other mechanics, I found Sam’s shop. He immediately got me in touch with an excellent diesel mechanic who could remove the pump and re-install. Sam had the rebuild kit on hand, and he restored the pump back to new to factory specs. Communication was excellent. True experts in diesel injection pumps and turbos. Highly recommended.”

“Mike with underwater Oahu was great to dive with. My two daughters, aged 11 and 10 did their open water dives with him to complete their open water certification. He was so good with them and clearly understands how to work with kids. He was safe and an excellent teacher. He taught me a few things too. The equipment is clean and very functional. we had no issues. He is very prepared. He’s got a good sense of humor and showed us some fun things at Electric Beach. I will definitely dive with Underwater Oahu again next time we’re there”
