“Let me start by saying that my truck repair ended up being more "involved" than what I originally thought was a blown head gasket. It turned out that an injector had cracked and ended up melting a piston. Ouch! 😖 That being said, once the shock had worn off and the decision was made to repair the BRP (Big Red Pig) Blake made excellent recommendations on all of the replacement parts to help me meet my requirements to have an ultra reliable trailer-towing-beast when everything was completed. He kept me from cutting corners or overdoing things (injectors and turbo that were too large for one) that would have kept me from meeting the goal I had in mind for the final build configuration and performance goal for the truck. Once the repairs were underway, Blake's attention to detail was very much appreciated. He didn't just pull old parts from the old motor and slap them on the new motor, he cleaned and painted things like the thermostat housing/radiator hose connection, engine lifting lugs, alternator mounting brackets, AC compressor mounting brackets, power steering pump mounting brackets, etc. He also replaced all of the factory wiring harness holders with new ones since many of them had been broken over the course of the life of the truck due to routine maintenance procedures. The truck now runs like never before in the previous 18-years since I bought it new. Once I get a few more miles on the new motor I look forward to hooking onto the camp trailer and dragging it all over with the truck. Emerson Diesel is going to see a lot of me and the BRP for any future work whether it be maintenance, repairs, or possibly some additional "upgrades". 👍”
