(June 20, 2021, 7:47 pm)This site is wonderful - the interpretive center highlights the history of the site and the rest of the park provides a beautiful green space. If it's your first visit, go to the interpretive center first. It prepares you with the necessary historical and cultural information to appreciate the rest of the park. Then there are acres of park to explore. Truly a gem of the United States.
(May 25, 2021, 8:34 pm)Had a great time and a great tour of the plaza area. I cannot remember the name of our guide but he led the 2 pm tour on 5/23/21. He mentioned that he was from the area and used to sled down Monks Mound as a kid. He was very informative and gave a great tour. I recommend him for anyone taking the guided tour. The museum/interpretive center was also very informative and interesting. Great place to spend an afternoon.
