“Cafe Urbano is a true oasis in the neighborhood, i've been coming here since they opened. There aren't many other options around here, and the cafe really fills the niche for a meeting place and cultural hub, not just a coffee & sandwich place. Art shows, music shows, lit readings, and more. Try finding that anywhere else in Irving Park... The Metropolis coffee is great, always fresh. Abuelita is good if you want something sweeter. The sandwiches and pastries are tasty, my favorites are the twisted chicken and the pulled pork special when they have it. The low reviews here are baffling, the staff is always great and the food is fresh and made to order, so keep in mind it takes longer to prepare. Most times it's also a 1-person show, so if it's busy they may not always have time to chat. If you want fast food, get a muffin.”

“A great place to have dinner! Our waitress was very patient with us while we dawdled on our wine order. The owner was funny and attentive, making sure we were well fed and spirited. We had the eggplant spread, beet salad, stuffed cabbage, and pork shoulder goulash - all were delicious and generously portioned! The in-house violinist was kind and talented- and took requests! We would definitely recommend Little Bucharest for any friend or family gathering.”
