Includes large, wooded and fenced area for dogs to roam and socialize as well as beautiful prairie trails looping the larger unfenced section of the park--perfect for running a well-trained dog off-lead. Rolling hills, great view all times of the year. Picnic pavilion on-site. Outer trail loop takes about 20 minutes to walk whole perimeter. Breathe in the fresh air and connect with nature while exercising your pup.”

“My dog and I went here on a nice sunny day. Pottawatomie Park is very big and has numerous activities available. It is mid-October, so certain things are closed down until spring or sometime later: mini-golf, paddle boat cruises, refreshment stand are some of them. The park remains very well-kept and attractive. We saw a beautiful sunset over the Fox River. Many trees and other nature items are well-labeled. There are ball fields, tennis courts and a very large community center. Across the river is a large forest preserve. All in all, a great place to spend a few hours or a day!”

“This is my favorite park to take my toddler. There is a walking path to take the stroller and lots of green space to run around. The park area is especially notable because the ground is covered with a big rubber mat instead of rocks or wood chips which makes it easier for little ones to walk around on. Each year we like to see the new sculptures that are put on display. The gazebo is a nice place for shade and there are three water fountains for hot days. There is also a bathroom just in case it's needed.”

“We visted the Japanese garden and enjoyed it very much. The garden is beautiful and very pleasant. The ladies who welcomed us were very friendly and informative. We were also provided a info guide for our stroll. The garden itself is small however there is much on the property to explore. There is no entry charge (donations suggested).”
