“Good unique flavors and cool place! Classic look inside, ooooold school, I felt like I jumped back into 1981. EGG ROLL is the best around, no contest. It takes about 15 minutes for food. Big portions and the chicken fried rice was great! The sweet and sour chicken was OK, it was more bread&sauce than chicken BUT you get a LOT of it and the sauce is tasty. Crab Rangoon was decent. I would go back just for those egg rolls. Got 3/4 meals worth of food for $16.”

“Our server was outstanding! Service is en pointe. We ordered the chicken Caesar salad, chicken salad sandwich, turkey pot pie and a small soup. We also had the raspberry cream sliced pie, and their pumpkin pie. You can really taste the clothes and the spice in the pumpkin pie it wasn’t too bad. The raspberry cream for me was outstanding. Super cute place, very American.”

“This was a family oriented restaurant environment that allowed call ahead reservations. It was a Saturday night and they had specials and a crab 🦀 😋 soup that was so delicious 😋!! I could of had 5 more bowls of that!! Our waitress was very attentive and brought us refill soft drinks without asking. Their prices were very reasonable and the portions were nice sized. I would recommend this restaurant very highly 👌 😋 😄!!”

“In a time where customer service isn't always the best and many restaurants are so short staffed that customer service suffers ...... well, this is NOT happening at Johnson's Corner! Since April 2020, Johnson's has faithfully delivered hot dinners to my beautiful mother-in-law twice a week - usually by one of their long-time waitresses, Dena. This is not a service they typically provide but because she is home-bound, they have made this a priority. Dena is amazing. We talk twice a week and she helps me decide what would be the best item that day to order for Mom. With Mom's declining health, Dena has adapted her delivery pattern and occasionally will drop off something she made herself over the weekend and wanted to share. Not because she "has to" but because she wants to. Johnson's Corner owners Jimmy & Cathy are family but Dena is now too! Thank you for being an invaluable part of the Alton/Godfrey community and for taking care of your neighbors.”

“My family has been dining at Castelli's Restaurant for over 30 years. This past week we held a 90th birthday celebration for my mom and booked the gathering in the banquet room. The food is always great at this local favorite restaurant, and the overall experience during this banquet celebration was 'off the chart' awesome. Thank you, Lana, and the whole team who made this evening so wonderfully delightful for my mom and her guests. The food was served family style and everything was perfectly set up. What a feast with everyone bragging about how delicious everything was - served hot with enough food to feed an army! We are so grateful for the attention given in providing mom with such a memorable evening. She says she'd like to do it again when she turns 100 so we'll need to book the banquet room for June 19, 2031. In the meantime, we'll be back many times to dine in the main dining room. Thank you.”

Being somewhat new they have limited staff but the drinks were good and the steaks were delicious. You should at the very least stop by for a cocktail and see what you think. You have nothing to lose by trying a different place in Alton. P.S. Great background jazz to keep you company.”
