And by nervous, I mean...I was a wreck! However, after being warmly welcomed into the CEC area, I was immediately put at ease. I shared my concerns with the technicians, and they immediately demonstrated to me that they would go out of their way to ensure my comfort. When I was worried that the machine would be just as claustrophobic as I remembered from a different location, they allowed me to enter the scan room and try out the table & scanner for myself so that I could get a feel for it. Susan, the CT professional, went out of her way to explain every step of the procedure so that I would know exactly what to expect- and she gave me the sense that my comfort was her priority. Wow!
