“Lovely staff. Lovely food. Waitress was super kind. I had the fish dinner, baked with Cajun seasoning. Serving size was excellent (large). Fish was baked real well. Mixed vegetables and home fries. Everything was just fantastic. Nice quiet place. Super fast service. They checked all my boxes. Some people nearby me had trouble speaking or understanding English. Being a truck stop and all, there were people there at different parts of their day, from a million different backgrounds. It was a pleasure to hear the wait staff be kind and patient with all the patrons.”

“Local NW/Huntertown dive bar. Known for wings. It has karaoke on Fridays. I got lucky and knew a server and they got drinks. They had 150 people in a bar that is made for 100 people. I didn't get food but it's know bar food especially wings. From 10 pm to 2ish it's super busy. It's usually chill. Definitely short-staffed.”

The only downside was the service, which wasn't terrible, but it could definitely be improved. My wife has some weird thing against "toasted subs" and she had a seafood grinder and said she's a believer now. These grinders are NOT subs by the way. Comparing these awesome grinders to subs is like comparing a Porsche to a '76 pinto. Yeah They're both technically cars, but not in the same league. “Ok, so this was the next stop on our journey to "eat local" since this pandemic started. I scouted out this little "mom and pop" taco stand that was inside a Marathon station. Being from Chicago's southeast side, I know that this is THE BEST kind of place to find authentic Mexican food. My instincts were absolutely on the money. The food was every bit as good as we had hoped and then some. We got a little spread for our family of 6. We got a big burrito, 5 chicken tacos, 5 beef tacos and 8 pork tamales. They accidentally forgot the toppings (cilantro onion and lime) but we went back and for our trouble they gave us the most amazing and flavorful rice and beans I have ever tasted. Also, they made the guacamole fresh for our order and the chips were also hot and fresh. I am completely satisfied and will DEFINITELY be back for more soon! If you're in the area, you HAVE to try them.”
