For the amount of work I needed done, I thought for sure it would be pricey, but it wasn't bad. “Always honest and their work is priced fairly. I had taken my vehicles to them for years, after another well-known mechanic in Crown Point tried to tell me that I had a blown head gasket. I got a second opinion from Father & Sons, who found out that I only needed a thermostat. Obviously the other auto shop was trying to take advantage but Dan at Father and Sons found the real problem. What would have cost me well over $1500 at the other place was a $12 part and labor at Father & Sons. They are by far the most honest and trustworthy mechanics in the area and they back up their work.”

He catches things and assists me in the most cost-effect way to remedy the situation - He doesn't cut corners on repair, just on the best way and time to do them. Now that I have a history with them I receive notices that are spot-on reminders of what is needed next. He did a great find of a foreign object in my tire and spared me a flat tire when I may have been driving. Great service and I've never had to return for him to fix it twice for the same problem.
