“I had never heard of Silver Lake before this weekend and I am hooked! This is a beautiful, no-wake lake that is perfect for that easy pontoon ride or, better yet, kayak trip. Beautiful sand beach with roped off area for the kids. We were visiting relatives, but this looks like a wonderful place to live too.”

“Dan, and his crew of employees at KOA Hogback, were possibly the friendliest, and most helpful campground crew that I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. From the moment we showed up we were greeted with smiles, and were offered helpful hands with the vehicle issues that we were having. The team even assisted getting our camper put onto our site, while our vehicle was out of commission. The KOA company must have good hearts, as multiple times during our stay, there were (no pressure) fundraisers, for terminally ill children. These included 50/50 raffles, and pancake breakfasts. It definitely warms the heart. During the entire duration of our stay, the family was never lacking things to do. From swimming, to arts and crafts, and even live music, the campground is definitely a step above the rest. It was a pleasure camping at the KOA Hogback, and I already have my next trip there scheduled.”

Perfect for paddleboarding, kayaking, swimming and floating. Lots of activities planned throughout the season including an amazing haunted house. “The owners have helped a great many people ( late payments, or no payment at all for a month) I know this due to a being acquaintance of mine.I'm sure more than I know. I have seen first hand , a home after a tennet vacated the resident ( for whatever reason ) go from not being livable due to the destruction left behind to , Looking as if the home was just delivered from the factory. I have witnessed every year asphalt being applied to the drive. It is the responsibility of the tennet to tend the lawn , and their belongings. And No I'm not related to the owners, and no I'm being paid in any way, and Yes I'm proud to say that I call Golden Acres HOME.!!! *** A home is what you make it. Update- The park has been sold to New Owners. We will see if they can maintain the greatness of the previous owners. “What a gem of a find! You are welcomed upon check in with very friendly and helpful staff. The camp store is filled with many items to peruse while also stocking all the necessities (firewood, ice, snacks, etc) "Find Your Happy" is the theme of the apparel and many signs. This is an accurate theme. The sites are all large and long with plenty of space between your neighbors. Can accommodate big rigs and multiple slide outs. The hooks ups are convenient in proportion to your site. The campground is kept very well maintained and clean. New owners in Sept 2021 and very impressed with the updates thus far. Activities for all are available on the weekends. The staff goes out of their way to assist with any questions or requests. We enjoyed our first visit so much that we returned the following weekend. We have stayed in many campgrounds big and small over the years and Happy Acres definitely provides a peaceful environment for you to "Find Your Happy"”
