They have card and board games for kids (or kids at heart) to play while waiting. Our favorite appetizer is the cream cheese and pesto dip with pita bread. “Best BBQ in the city. My family has been going to Gates for years. This is KC BBQ at it's best. A couple things to know before you go: 1. Know what you want before you get in line and prepare to be called on. Shout your order and take a tray if you are dining in. 2. The ribs here are the best pork ribs in KC hands down. 3. If you are going for a classic meat sandwich try the combo beef and turkey. It is enough to feed two or take some home. 4. Make sure to order your fries and onion rings extra crispy it makes them so much better. 5. If you are dining in don't forget the free coffee for a nice after meal pick up to fight the itis from all that delicious BBQ. 6. If the extra-hot BBQ sauce is too much to dip your fries in add some ketchup. Enjoy the BBQ!”
