“I recently cared for my 92 year old mother, following a fall at home, which resulted in a compression fracture of T7. During her initial visit to an urgent care, she received Hydrocodone for pain and an infusion of Fentanyl. She was discharged and sent home with Hydrocodone. By day 4, post trauma, she was still unable to keep down food or meds. I called Heartland, Tuesday, to ask for guidance. It happened to be Dr. Pul’s day off. I Ieft a voicemail, and struggled with what I should do next. About 30 minutes later, that voice mail was answered. I was offered a telehealth conference that afternoon. Dr. Puls, on her day off, initiated that call. We discussed mom’s delimma, and she came up with a plan of action. Darcy’s guidance altered my mom’s recovery. Her concern and skillful guidance was so appreciated! We love this internist!!!”

We are always well cared for whether I call in for reminders on best practices for my 7mo’s upper respiratory infection or when I need a quick appointment b/c my 5yo is favoring his wrist after a scooter fall. The nursing staff is always warm and friendly over the phone and in person. Conversations and appointments never feel rushed. In the last month or so we’ve had appointments with Nohemi, NP, and have felt just as well cared for in those appointments as we have with Dr. Edwards. I love all the above and that KCDPC is always open about what is happening at the clinic through regular communications by email. My uninsured family currently receives better healthcare with KCDPC than we ever did when we actually had health insurance making calling the doctor one less thing for this mom and wife to worry about.”
