Lily Mountain Nature Preserve

This is a difficult hike! Bring the right shoes, bug spray, and plenty of water. Not recommended for small children.
But... this is a fantastic little park! Trail #2 is the tough one you have to hike to get to the overlooks, which are beautiful. It is very steep and difficult to climb up and down. This doesn't detract from the experience however. A hidden gem not many know about. Not far from Richmond, Berea, or Buc-ees!

Good hiking trails throughout. Be prepared to go straight up on some semi-rough terrain, but well worth the spectacular views.

This is a really nice trail. Definitely has some challenges going straight up on the loose rocks (although that may be because we went after it poured rain for several days) but the view was worth it.

When you park it just looks like one big field. You can't see where you're supposed to go and there are no maps on the board. The only way you know where to go is there are barely visible paths mowed in the really tall grass. When you finally get to the actual trail it gets way better! Be careful of ticks because of the tall grass. Wear bug spray. And check afterwards. The view at the top is absolutely amazing and very well worth the hike! There are difficult parts of it where it is steep so make sure you wear good hiking boots. No sandals and definitely no flip flops.
