“Massive dog park with a few seats but not much shade. The grass hasn’t been mowed for a couple of weeks. A dog-friendly water fountain was available. Nice people there with their pets and it was very close to our hotel. The greenway trail goes right past the dog park. Parking was easy.”

“Historic site by Daniel Boone's relatives. Tour inside was not available at my hour of visit but grounds are open from dusk to dark. Playground, gardens, and some unique buildings. Fitting tribute to the enslaved people who helped build and run that place.”

“We stayed here in December and it was a great site. We only stayed one night but it was very enjoyable. There was a very cool Christmas light show going on while were there and we got to drive thru it to get to our site. It made things very festive.”

“A perfectly adequate walking trail with woodland footpaths adjacent to it, however I did not see any distinctive features. I brought my dogs. However, if you do not live a convenient distance from the park, it is not worth visiting in my opinion.”

“This is a nice little park, with not much elevation changes, and lots of green fields. It was super hot and muggy in Late July when I visited, but that's to be expected. Bugs weren't bad, and I used the 3.5 miles of trails for trail running, which it was great for. Easy access to Lexington and the interstate, would recommend.”

“Some of the most accessible trail running routes in Lexington. Mountain biking is beginner, intermediate at most. Be careful if it’s rained recently, the back trails are wet. Accessible bathrooms, plenty of walking path, and beautiful trees.”

“This is a beautiful and well maintained park. I went Thursday of this week and intended to spend about two to three hours but instead spent all day. It was a great day. Another person just posted it was twenty each but it is $12.00 for regular admission. It was not crowded and very clean. You are given a map with times on it of talks the staff give about the animals. In between I went to the great museum that is closed two times daily to clean. It has so much to view and learn and places to sit. The staff will stop whatever they are doing to help and answer questions. Great p,ace and had a great time. The museum alone was worth it but there is so much more to see. Seeing the former champion horses and the oldest living Derby winner was icing on the cake. Great day, great value. I will be back.”

“Great park! Newly renovated, has an area for younger toddlers and another area close by for bigger kids with lots of cool things to climb on and explore. The swings are nice, some of them are tandem swings even. There's a safe, wheelchair accessible merry-go-round. And there's even a water area where kids can turn a wheel and water comes out and flows through canals. This has been one of my favorite playgrounds, we will definitely come again!”

“Beautiful scenery and a excellent place for a picnic. The small pond allows for a nice fishing spot and the playground is a good spot for kids. The only thing missing from this park that are at most are the basketball goals. Many people including myself think that this would be an excellent addition to the park.”

“It's cute, small and usually not busy. It's a great little park for children under 6 or 7, although there's regularly older kids playing there. Lots of open green space, not many trees though as it's right at the elementary school and there's a baseball field. Basketball hoop, and a walking path too.”
