“This campground was excellent. Set on the western side of the blue ridge mountains overlooking a great creek supplied by along the side. It is not rv friendly. However, I got in and out ok with my 27-foot Imagine. Had go divert the super tight left leaving by going up the mountain foe a mile to an easy turn around. Turkey season packs this camp.”

“This farm worked with us to provide beautiful, wonderful flowers for our wedding. As we now know, weddings come with scheduling conflicts, lateness, rescheduling and many other appointment related hardships, but Chickapoo Farm stuck with us every step of the way and we are so grateful for their flexibility and help.”

“The negative first. There is no water access from the campground. The water isn’t even visible. The one trail we chose to walk wasn’t maintained. If cell signal matters to you. ATT has no signal. The good, the sites were nice, level, clean as were the restrooms. It’s very peaceful and well maintained. Camp hosts were very nice.”

“Camped here for two weeks. In different spots over the summer. Lots of traffic! At all hrs of the night and day. Should be a sign saying "No outlet". Shady cars meet up at end. fishing for small fish is ok. Very over fished though.”

“I enjoy the park. I ride a sxs when I visit the area. If the trails were marked better it would be 5 stars. I have got in a few situations where we had to turn around but no big problem. Staff is not friendliest people I have ever met, but it’s a job not meet and greet. They do offer spray off and bathrooms at office. It’s a nice place to ride and not packed with riders. I put a picture of my brother in law laying his jeep over at Hollerwood😂🤣”

“We enjoyed our stay last summer (2023) at Callie’s Lake and Campground. It has a friendly, relaxed, festive atmosphere. Lots of families enjoying time together and enjoying the beautiful Red River Gorge area. The on site restaurant was wonderful, and the karaoke and live music was a nice surprise. A big thumbs up goes to the private bathrooms! They are way better than community bath setups. They were diligent about keeping them clean as well. Nice location close to The Gorge and associated activities. You’ve gotta try Miguel’s Pizza while in the area! We will definitely be back. 😊”

“Really cute, quiet, new campground off a nice windy road into a plot of rv and tent spots. Mix of shade and sun, some spots back up to a great creek. Plenty of privacy. The owners are wonderful, very helpful and very hospitable. I have found my destination spot for when I need to get out of the city.”

“Great place to visit. Now I know why we race the opposite direction of the British. The homestead, race track and William Whitley are a major part of Kentucky history. The ladys that host the home are very knowledgeable and can tell you many details of how the house was constructed. We'll worth a visit.”
Address: 1200 Gwinn Island Rd, Danville, KY 40422, USA
“The peace. Not for those sealing a pampered experience. Gwinn Island is for people tired of city life and bustle. Fishing wild life and lack of human noise is the Gwinn Island of today. If you want a pool and a waiter this is not your resort. If you want herons raccoons and fishing it is perfect.”

“This was our first visit to Iroquois Park for the Jack O'Lantern spectacular, and we had a blast. My 3-year-old absolutely loved all the different pumpkin carvings and lights. There was a bit of a wait to get in, but that is to be expected when attending something like this. Other than that everything else was great.”

“Massive dog park with a few seats but not much shade. The grass hasn’t been mowed for a couple of weeks. A dog-friendly water fountain was available. Nice people there with their pets and it was very close to our hotel. The greenway trail goes right past the dog park. Parking was easy.”
Address: Cardinal Dr, Georgetown, KY 40324, USA
“Nice small dog park. Great for when you don't have a backyard or don't have a fenced area for your dog. Loved that they had 2 benches for "owners" to sit. Has a couple of trees and fire hydrants for dogs to sniff around. water bowl in corner and 3 different entrances for ease of access. Lots of activity while we were there and everyone was super nice, making sure that no dogs got out and that "play times" were ok and friendly. Lots of people walking in the park this is attached to. We parked in the rear of the animal shelter parking lot, as the dog park in located right behind their facility in the public park.”

“My entire family loves this Aquatic Center. Personally my favorite part is the walking trail they have all kinds of wonderful plants and flowers. One reason I love it here is the lifeguards are very attentive, I have a two-year-old girl that isn't afraid of much. So knowing they're always watching and not on their phones gives me peace of mind. Another really nice accommodation is the playground is padded, the gates seem pretty secure and you are able to easily bring a wheelchair or wagon. The indoor pool could be a little cleaner especially the floors other than that I cannot complain. We love this place and plan on coming again.”

Address: 4352 Fairgrounds Ridge Rd, Beattyville, KY 41311, USA
“We stayed here for 5 wonderful days and nights. Boone Valley is gorgeous, quiet, spacious, and feels very private. Ben is a friendly and consummate host. This campground has tons of land to roam and explore and hot water in the shower house. Friendly to climbers, families, and all types of campers. There’s even playgrounds for kids or adults who enjoy swinging!”
Address: City Park Dr, Radcliff, KY 40160, USA
“It’s a nice city park, with a disc golf course running through the middle which was really cool! It’s a nice walk around the park, with the leaves currently falling and all the squirrels currently running around collecting the acorns that have fallen on the ground. It would be nice if they had a small sidewalk along the main road to allow those to walk around the park.”
Address: 11551 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40291, USA
“Beautiful park with great trails! Lots to do for the entire family. A kayak, put-in by the river, a splash pad for kids, a playground, multiple paved and not paved trails.”
