“Great place to visit. Now I know why we race the opposite direction of the British. The homestead, race track and William Whitley are a major part of Kentucky history. The ladys that host the home are very knowledgeable and can tell you many details of how the house was constructed. We'll worth a visit.”

“Living my whole life in Carrollton, I couldn't count the times I went to Butler for family events. Summer fun with paddleboating and mini golf. Holiday events like Easter egg hunts and the all famous haunted train ride, yet I never paid much attention to the house that was located on the grounds. Today I finally did. It blows my mind that this house was built back in 1859 and is still here. The original bricks laid at the same time still to this day guide you up a solid but slightly tilted walkway to the house. The house is intimidating as you get closer. There is something eerie about it. But push past that, and walk to the front of the house. The view from the steps looking over the land is breathtaking, minus the wind debris every where. Around back the house looks the exact same. Off to the left when walking the path behind is a trail that is serene through the woods and ends at the Butler Family Cementery. Now that needs a little love, but there is still beauty around the stone walls. You can get tickets for a tour of the house. I did not do that. I just explored around it. Again the view alone from the steps, is worth stopping by.”

“Great large distillery. We’ll mainly and organized. Hu he gift shop Thoth all their products. Timed tours are available. Tours are heavy in history and how they age and manage he their product after producing. The tour does not include the production (mashing, distillation) areas of the plant. It also does not allow you to see the automated bottling process which was disappointing. One hour walking tour ends at one of 6 tasting rooms. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Parking was good.”

“My husband and I love going on drives and one Sunday in early Fall we found ourselves exploring the Mount Vernon area, which we found to be a very quaint little town with picturesque cabins, farms, and countryside views. I don't have the pictures we took of BitterSweet Cabin Museum on hand, but I can tell you that it looks absolutely heavenly in the Fall. You feel like you are stepping into a time capsule. A very peaceful place to visit. I hope that you are still open next time we come through. I would love to bring my grandchildren to visit. I know they would be absolutely captivated. Thank you so much for everything!”

“Amassed here is an amazing collection of old restored radios from almost 5 decades. Almost all are for sale. Even if you're not in the market, it's worth a trip just to look at all these beautiful, historical pieces, and maybe pick Rick's brain a bit. The prices are great too, considering the work he puts in. The photos here only show about half of what's there.”

At the heart of this project is the restoration of steam 🚂 2716. There will also be a restaurant, brewery, entertainment venue and a museum located on a portion of the CSX railroad yard located there in addition to the stable of vintage rail cars and locomotives. This will eventually employ several.”

“This was amazing! I'm so thankful that we were finally able to see this! Very well done, so lifelike! This was well researched and very informative. They answered any question you could think of about the Ark, the animals, what it must have been like, and how could it all have been done. We also saw the virtual encounter that took us back in time to the Ark & the flood! We loved it all! We bought a ticket bundle with the creation museum and saved a little bit. We went to creation museum the day before, then a full day at the ark.”

“We had an intern that gave us a tour of the house, the artifacts, and a detailed history of the family, the slaves that were there, Presidential affiliations, etc. She had great knowledge of all of this. The house is beautiful with an interesting collection of family possessions. We also walked the grounds to see the outbuildings which were interesting, as well as the family graveyard. It's worth the trip for sure and you can spend as much or as little time as you want. After the tour you are free to walk the property as you please.”

“We showed up and did the Barns and Backside tour, which is an hour, then did the walking tour an hour after that concluded. Really great tours. We went to the museum in between the tours and saw the greatest race movie. Currently a lot of construction but it'll be great once it's done. Highly recommend the tours. The barns and backside gets you to the other side of the track, which is nice, but I wish we could have walked into the barn area, although I understand why we couldn't. Great experience.”

“This was a fun way to spend an afternoon. It was hot but the cabins you go in and out of weren’t too bad temperature wise. Most of the cabins has people there showing how things are made, like yarn and clay pots, they all seemed very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. We enjoyed it.”
