We are big fans of the LaGrange Gustavo's but we love this one even more. We had a lovely late Sat lunch with no crowd, wonderful service and great shrimp and pork belly tacos. A great place to try, you will love it!
The flaming queso fajita was exceptional. The dish presented a variety of flavors that complemented each other, with a spicy kick from the pablano pepper. The pico de gallo covered in cheese sauce was tasty. Excited to try more of their signature dishes and looking forward to coming back!
We stopped in at Gustavo's on our way back from the Kentucky Speedway. We initially wanted to go to the location close to River Road, Prospect. We decided to settle for the Crestwood location as we were tired and ready to get some food in our stomach's and an adult beverage for my Bride. The staff were Johnny on the spot as usual. They kept my non-alcoholic beverage refilled frequently. The food was good and filling. No complaints at all. Very good dining experience and reasonably priced as well.
I stopped post lunch. I ordered a drink and I was was served complimentary tortilla chips and salsa.
I ordered a large order of fresh guacamole and hands down one of the best guacamole I had.
Avocado was cut in small chunks, just enough tomatoes, onions, cilantro and just enough lime for acidity.
I have had their food is which is so so but the guacamole is a must.
We went there for "night owl" with our team. The food was aligned in a Hispanic buffet aspect. I'm not really a big taco or burrito person. But I do like food on a plate.
I was more so a fan of the rice and beans mixed together with tomatoes and lettuce some sprinkles of meat.
They had some beans and tomatoes and lettuce left so I took them in a to-go and brought it back to Michigan. I decided to heat them up in the oven to keep that flavor.
It was...Yum! I can't wait to come back :)
