The nurses and techs were very efficient, as well as the doctor. I don’t think I was in there longer than 15 minutes and they were able to tell me what was wrong with me and prescribed me medicine. “Dr. Burns is the best mental health professional I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. During my appointment, she listened, she joked, and she was an open book as well. It felt as though I was talking to a friend, and it made me much more relaxed.By the end of the appointment, I felt as though I had just made a new best friend. I cannot recommend Dr. Burns and her staff enough. Everyone is sweet as can be and treat you like family. I had not seen a mental health professional since I was a teenager. My experiences at that time made me never want to see one again. However, as I get older, my mind is harder to control, and obviously, there are many more stressors between 19 and your 30s. I was used to psychiatrists being very robotic. Dr. Burns has turned my viewpoints around. She has truly changed my life, even through my first appointment. I now feel comfortable speaking about my issues without worries of being judged or ignored.
