If you have questions, I would suggest being politely pushy, as the doctor is busy and will explain only the basic parts of a procedure unless you ask for more. (But that's very usual for most good doctors!) (e.g., I was advised to use an Epsom salt foot soak but not instructed on how much salt to use. I was using half a cup at a time when, as I later found out, you only need a couple tablespoons at most. The result - burning pain! (: ) They were quick and cheap for a plantar wart removal. I had no complications and didn't even need pain medicine.”
