“We did the large pontoon swamp tour and had a great time! We sat in the back next to Captain Jack and he made sure everyone got to see the alligators! He was very knowledgeable and very funny!! I love that the pontoon boat was covered. Even though it was ridiculously hot outside, being in the shade and having a breeze from the boat, made the whole trip comfortable. Bring some snacks!! They have a nice gift shop with some goodies but I would’ve liked to have some different options.”

“We did the cajun experience tour and had a great time. The crew was fantastic and we all love it. It is only 45mns from new Orleans. Much better that our everglade airboat tour. Saw wild life, caught crabs and fish (well in theory :). Then we had lunch at the marina with the crew. Thanks to Caroline and her friends. We strong recommend the experience.”

“The food truck is in the parking lot. Go past the food truck to what looks to be an old house that is on the water. After walking through a long hallway there is a handwritten sign with the menu on it. Continue further past there and you can either choose to sit inside or outside. There is a step to get outside that’s a little bit tricky. There is a helpful attendant who essentially is a food runner between the food truck and your table. When you pay, you pay at the food truck out front when you leave. They’re doing a great job of making do with what they have after hurricane Ida. We had the steak nachos which were made with fried egg roll wrappers instead of tortilla chips. The steak was the kind you would find on a cheesesteak sandwich. With fresh tomatoes and onions and a nacho cheese sauce they were delicious. It was a great place to have a afternoon snack and watch the boats. The restaurant was 1/2 to 2/3 full and it took about 10 minutes to get our food. Our server was exceptionally helpful. One star missing because they did the math wrong and tried to overcharge us.”

“This review is for the Sunset tour. First, you check in at Bayou Adventure. There you sign a waiver and get to pick a snack and drink. They will give you directions to make your way down the road a few miles where you start your tour. Ample parking. The tour itself started around 5:30. It was a very leisurely trip down Cane Bayou to the lake. This part of the trip is not strenuous at all, so no need to worry if your not the best kayaker or out of shape. The kayaks have a spot to store a bag and a small waterproof box for phones/wallets. We brought a backpack with water and snacks. We had towels in the car. If I could do anything different, I would bring bug spray in the kayak. We had left it in the car, but it would help the trip back in the dark. Lots and lots of mosquitos Once you get to the lake, you get to relax for 30-45 min and watch the sunset. On the way back, the guide will give you a headlight as you will be paddling back in the dark. This is an entirely different experience. Here you may get to see some other wildlife (possums, owls, etc...) if you catch them at the right time with your light. While I didn’t see alligators, some people in our did see alligators. Overall, this was an incredible experience! I would highly recommend it.”

“Captain Nick, our guide Lionel, and everyone else with this company was amazing! I brought 10 customers from all over the US for a 2 day adventure. We caught a ton of fish, ate like kings, and had a great place to relax and have fun in comfort on the Bayou. I will be back and you need to check this place out for an amazing adventure!”

“Went fishing today with this charter. The group of guys were awesome. Our captain was Ken and he made sure we caught the fish. He took us to many different locations to fish and not just sitting in a spots which were not very active. He is very patient especially if you get the hook stuck on rocks, tall grass or even a post!! He has passion for what he does and it shows in his character! He also recommended taking some of our fish to a restaurant down the road called Voleo's For a reasonable price they cooked the fish up to 3 different ways for you. Blackened was amazing!! Thanks Ken!”

“The Captain was absolutely amazing! My family and I had an awesome time! Although the experience of bowfishing is very exciting all in itself having an amazing Captain made the experience all the more incredible. Very personable! Made sure the fishing trip was seamless. They took out extra time to sail out further due to the recent storm that had affected the fish quantity/quality to ensure we came home with a great catch! Also took some amazing pictures and took out th he time to create a beautiful video! If you're looking for an incredible experience book through Jean Lafitte Harbor Charters : )”
