“Lauren was my waitress and she was not good! She was spectacular!!! She was attentive, very personable, and very knowledgeable about the menu. This was my first time in and had no idea what to order. After a short conversation, where she asked a few key questions, she was able to direct me to a few choices on the menu. But told me if I wanted a good choice that would not disappoint I should try the shrimp platter that basically was a sampler of all the ways Don’s could fix shrimp. AND LAUREN WAS RIGHT it was absolutely phenomenal! I travel with my job and get tired of all the chain restaurants, and always look for local cuisine. Thank you for great food great service, and a wonderful waitress. Lauren is a total asset and she is what pushed my first time experience over the top. From always being there to manage and tend to our large family and wedding party to making sure every detail of my wedding vision come to life even better than I’d planned, or even racing over to my villa to bring me a comb for a hair malfunction right before pictures🥹, she was such a blessing and pleasure to work with! Coming from someone who used to coordinate weddings, my expectations were high and she far exceeded them!! Danielle, Nicole, and Victoria did an amazing job as well! They truly made an impression on all of our friends and family and helped make our experience one they will all be talking about for ages!! Danielle consistently made sure me and my husband and our families were taken care of and always had a drink or whatever we needed. There is no better team to trust with such an important event!!! The entire weekend was flawless! We had our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner Friday night, a round of golf for the guys Saturday morning, wedding Saturday night, and brunch Sunday! It made everything so easy to have our family and wedding party stay in the villas for the weekend so we didn’t have to go anywhere from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning! Not having to worry about travel in the midst of all that craziness is a lifesaver! We got married in the atrium and had our reception in the ballroom and everything was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! I can’t say it enough; our wedding at Carter Plantation was a DREAM COME TRUE! The best staff, the best food, the best venue, the best value—I mean seriously, none compare!!!!”

“Wait time was only 5 minutes last night. I was impressed bc it's always packed. My son always gets cheese fries no matter where we go, but it was awesome that Texas Roadhouse offered the add chili option. They were amazing 🤩. I was a bit put out bc they didn't have prime rib, but the rib eye was lovely. Our potato skins were overcooked, the only downside to the meal. The salad was fresh and wonderful and my son couldn't get enough of his BBQ ribs. Overall it was a fantastic dining experience! Don't forget to try the Legend margarita with the black lava salt. To die for and a must for all margarita fans.”

“That paid parking nonsense must be for the TS across the Hwy. There are absolutely no signs posted here about paid parking. I stayed here all afternoon and overnight with no issues and nobody bothering me. Nobody said anything when I went inside either. I didn't even know about it until I read the reviews this morning. Must be fake news. But it is true that the parking spaces are tighter than a nuns as***le! The place didn't fill up last night so it wasn't an issue. People just parked with the space they needed and ignored the painted lines.”

“I'm in love with this place, genuinely. I'm a regular, they always greet me by my name, and (as a barista) I even know their orders of coffee. They are very friendly and love to make connections. There is never a wait, even when they're busy. I come here when I'm having a bad day just because the environment is so welcoming and comforting. Also, the food is amazing. The fat was not rendered and so most of your bite it fat. Because of having so much fat the duck meat itself had no flavor. The sauce the duck was cooked in was delicious. The Philly cheese panini had no flavor and not enough meat to bread. The rotisserie chicken was wonderful as was the grilled fish. Both had lots of flavor and perfect seasoning.”

“So I drive past this little place every day from the house to in town and it took a while before I gave it a shot, and I am hooked! It was freshly made food with excellent flavor. I got the cheeseburger (of course an ultimate classic). And my dad got the blackened fish plate. Neither one of us were disappointed! Burger had a good solid flavor and seasoned well. Juicy and cooked thoroughly but NOT overdone! I went with sweet potato fries because I like to try them out at different locations, and I would gladly order again! Will be looking forward to my next visit. When my dad comes to visit he always mentions trying to stop in for one of those cheeseburgers I had. So I think he is sold on them and he never got to taste mine. And the service was very friendly as well!”
