But the evening shift if horrible. They just throw the food together and its usually wrong every time. The owners should give the morning shift manager and workers a raise. Slingin Iron is where you need to be! The minute my boyfriend and I walked into the box we knew immediately we had found the right place. Everyone is like family and zero drama is tolerated. Justin is by far the best coach/ mentor I've ever had in my life. All the coaches are AMAZING and are always watching to make sure that your form is correct. Unfortunately, my current job relocated from Hammond to Covington so the commute became too much. We were both very sad to leave our Slingin iron family. It's the best CF box by far and would never go anywhere else. It could never come close to being at the same level as Slingin Iron. The hardest part is having the courage to walk in the front door. “One or two weeks back, my throat became extremely sore. Being a terrible procrastinator who does whatever she can to avoid a doctor’s office, I talked myself into believing it would get better on its own. Well, two days later, I couldn’t even swallow my saliva without wincing- I had to see a doctor and I knew they’d get on to me for not coming in sooner because I was sure I had strep throat. I called around and managed to find an appointment- for the next day at one place. Then I was near the Walker North Oaks Walk-In Clinic, so I went there. There were already 2 people in the waiting room and it was about 4:23 pm. I figured I had a good wait- but I was put in the back in about 20 minutes, given a strep test, checked by Dr. St. Amant, told I was positive for strep, given after care instructions, told good-bye by Dr. St. Amant and sent on my merry way to my pharmacy for antibiotics. I loved that experience. I need to go ahead and say that HE AND HIS STAFF WERE SUPPOSED TO LEAVE AT 5:00 PM, AND STAYED TO TREAT ME AS WELL AS A GENTLEMAN THAT CAME IN A GOOD WHILE AFTER ME. So, when you get sick, just walk in and see them for a few.”

“So I drive past this little place every day from the house to in town and it took a while before I gave it a shot, and I am hooked! It was freshly made food with excellent flavor. I got the cheeseburger (of course an ultimate classic). And my dad got the blackened fish plate. Neither one of us were disappointed! Burger had a good solid flavor and seasoned well. Juicy and cooked thoroughly but NOT overdone! I went with sweet potato fries because I like to try them out at different locations, and I would gladly order again! Will be looking forward to my next visit. When my dad comes to visit he always mentions trying to stop in for one of those cheeseburgers I had. So I think he is sold on them and he never got to taste mine. And the service was very friendly as well!”

“It still baffles me how everyone in this school can set aside their differences and come together for one fallen student. It's like everyone is divided into their typical cliques every day, but when one student, whether very well known or always picked on, passes, it's like an instant unification. As far as education goes, I strongly feel that this school needs to quit overly funding their football and start investing in books that kids really need. Any kid can kick a freaking football, it's not rocket science, but not every kid can tell you the formula for py, and it's not even a formula it's a number but a lot of kids don't know that, Just saying. But with very much sarcasm, this school has a great athletic department. And this statement isn't deemed towards Teachers and faculty, I really liked principal Jones because he is a very underrstanding man when you are in a difficult situation. So for the kids looking to hopefully make it big in sports, I recommend this school, for the parents who have realistic hopes for their children...that's really just your decision. “This place has such a great feel. The color is very festive and warm and it just made me feel like I was part of a celebration. The seating isn't super plush or luxurious, but it's comfortable enough to sit through an hour long dinner for sure. Our food came and it looked as amazing as it tasted. I've been to a bunch of hispanic restaurants, but this place wins my seal of approval because of the food, but also the very reasonable pricing. The wait staff was kind and courteous and I never had to ask for them to give me a refill. There were four in my party and they accommodated us very well. If you're looking for a five course meal at super fine dining standards, this isn't your place. However, if you want to go eat and feel welcome, leave full, and still have your wallet intact- you must eat here. We'll worth the trip.”
