“I just moved in the area and Google keeps picking up as I live here. I never seen the park/playground. But I’m pretty sure I have. I don’t have kids so I don’t really pay attention to playgrounds or parks”

“Grew up on at this park. Play structure needs a little maintenance but much respect for the coaches and community leaders that make and has made this park a staple in the neighborhood. Give these kids something to do! Or the streets will.”

“A very impressive garden. The garden is very large, I spend about 2 and a half hours wandering the grounds. Though it was a hot day there were lots of benches and shade. The best part of the whole place is the Japanese garden, it is large and very well maintained with all the expect features of a Japanese garden and a little bit more too.”

“The owner was very nice and helpful with information and places to visit. He even brought his bird out for our son to see. Very basic spot with concrete and rocks...no grass. Laundry area was basic and worked well. Secure with a drive through gate. Rating 4 star due to the friendly owner and price.”

“Not a bad experience. I saw a young alligator sunning on a log. There is much wildlife including a whole lot of turtles. My only issue is that I wish there would be a better effort to pick the trash up. The water seemed very cluttered with it.”

“When the wind blows you can sit under these branches and hear a symphony playing above you. Its another of the more unknown spots in the city. What it is most of all is something different right at Big Lake and off the path to the museum of art. Worth a visit if you're out that way,”

“Wow! What a hidden gem within the botanical garden. Although it's not the biggest Japanese garden I've seen from my travels, the details within this tea garden (roji) was absolutely perfect. From the choice of plants to the placement of the decorations, every little detail was thought out and executed perfectly. Despite its petite size, the garden has a small and simple tea house (chashitsu) that perfectly overlooks the garden. Kudos to the Japanese Garden Society of New Orleans for doing such a good job in collaboration with the City of Matsue, Japan. This is a must see location when visiting the botanical garden.”
