Yakumo Nihon Teien Japanese Garden

Address: 5 Victory Ave, New Orleans, LA 70119, USA

“Wow! What a hidden gem within the botanical garden. Although it's not the biggest Japanese garden I've seen from my travels, the details within this tea garden (roji) was absolutely perfect. From the choice of plants to the placement of the decorations, every little detail was thought out and executed perfectly. Despite its petite size, the garden has a small and simple tea house (chashitsu) that perfectly overlooks the garden. Kudos to the Japanese Garden Society of New Orleans for doing such a good job in collaboration with the City of Matsue, Japan. This is a must see location when visiting the botanical garden.”
