“I have never had a bad order. The breading on the catfish is crusty and delicious. Some of the best tasting catfish I've had in LaPlace. As for preparation let me give you an example. Today my order was for pickup. Abraham, the owner, came out to me and said he didn't like how long my shrimp had been out. He cooked fresh shrimp for me and threw in a couple of extra shrimp. And their shrimps are big. Fried okra and fried pickles are fantastic. Crab cakes are the best and a meal in themselves. I highly recommend, and without reservation, Sam's Southern Eatery. Great food. Great folks.”

“My Mom took me there fir my birthday. To be honest my experience started out weak. They sat us in front of the waiter station. I went back to the host and asked to be move and they did. Told the server she reorder my food. Food came I never checked it(myfault) i just left and went home and then check my order and it was wrong again. Tried calling but they were closed. I will patronize again because the food is very flavorful and sometimes a person can become overwhelmed in the kitchen and mistakes happen. This wasn’t my first time visiting and it surely won’t be my last.”
