“This is a great little home to fit in when you have about an hour. The parking lot is small, but there are usually one or two spaces open. The trail encompasses walking down the farm drive, around the fields, then dropping down for a short stroll along the Monocacy River. Occasionally, I have spotted an eagle up in the Sycamore trees along the river!”

Sugarloaf Mountain Peak

Address: Urbana, MD 20842, USA

Park

“This mountain, which is conveniently located off the highway, offers picturesque views of the surrounding area. Being the only high point in the valley, when you are on top of this mountain, it will make one feel like they are in a plane. You are able to even see Washington DC if you are at the eastern viewpoint. There is some hiking involved if you want to have a 360 view at the top, but the mountain also has easy accessible views if hiking is not an option. Make sure you save your visit when it is not the weekend because by 12 o’clock, there will be no available parking spaces. I would definitely recommended either coming up here before 10 AM, or between Monday and Thursday.”
