“This is my favorite restaurant on the planet. And it’s vegan! The food is absolutely delicious and the menu is updated seasonally. I love their spinach artichoke dip, buffalo bites, ginger dijon salad...oh there is too much yummy stuff to name! My go yo cocktail is the old fashioned. Desert is always creative and amazing. I could go on and on. I bring non-vegan friends here and they love it. That should be the ultimate testament as to how great “Great” Sage is. Highly highly recommend! Oh, and make reservations if possible. We walk in most times, but go during the lite fare menu between lunch/dinner when it’s less crowded. My 6 yr old loves their kids menu.”

“This is a must try on the top floor of Nordstrom's. My husband has a delicious meal while I do my shopping. Bring cash if you tip for great service. You order and pay at the counter but a server brings the beverages and food. And like the department store, service is phenomenal. Make sure to ask for the complimentary rolls. They come out fresh and warm. Can't go wrong with any of the menu selections that range from salads, sandwiches, pizzas, and entrees.”

“Newest eatery to hit the Columbia Mall restaurant row, Urban Plates is a fun spot for healthy and tasty food. An interesting take on the cafeteria concept, three lines form at the start depending on if you want a salad, sandwich or platter. This directs people along the tray line in an efficient manner. Of course, you can have two or three of the offerings above in any combination, just queue up appropriately, and order your items as they are prepared. Everything is fresh, house made and to your order. There are craft brews, draft beer and tasty desserts. Prices are quite reasonable as well. The restaurant has a big, open decor, a variety of different seating arrangements, with interesting furniture and fixtures. Like a lot of modern restaurants, the lofty, industrial ceiling and hard surfaces make for elevated sound levels, but my visits were not in anyway overly loud. There is a nice outdoor seating area as well for those nice weather days, though the scenery is just the parking lot and folks walking by. Urban Plates falls in line with modern, trendy, Millennial-focused restaurants, with online ordering and quick pickup and other features in demand. It's worth checking out.”

Our favorites: steak and arugala sandwich with pickled onions, tomato and lettuce on ciabatta bread; chicken salad sandwich, chicken noodle soup, steel cut cinnamon oatmeal with fresh berries. Love that you can get a two-fer combo of small sandwich, soup or salad (not all that small!) Smoothies are nice too. "Clean" food, pleasant atmosphere.”

“I've gone the First Watch in Laurel several times but this was my first time going to the Columbia location since they've opened. My friend and I went on New Year's Day about 30 min before they closed. It was crowded but we were able to sit right away because they were seats open at the community table. So we sat next to people we didn't know but it was really nice. The service was a little slow due to the amount of people in the restaurant. Also we had to ask for a few items that should have already been on the table. However our server Jasmine was really nice and helpful. The food was great as usual. I really enjoyed my experience and I love the idea of having a community table. It's a cool way to meet new people while you're having a great meal.”

Cured meat, especially the duck selection outstanding, and cheese platter was quite good though portions for 3 could have been a tad bigger (must admit though by the end of lunch, all of us were full). Pastrami sandwich was fab (fries could have been crispier for my taste but spiced nicely). Hamburger sliders, avocado toasts, chicken & waffle, all top! Nice draft beer selection.
